A flow rate control valve (100A) is provided with: a bobbin (120) on which a solenoid coil (121) is wound; a plunger (140) which is inserted into the bobbin (120) in a slideable manner; a core (130) which is provided with an outlet opening (132) out of which fluid flows; a spring (160) which presses the plunger (140) in the direction of separating the plunger (140) from the core (130); and a valve body (150A) which is mounted to the plunger (140) so as to be disposed facing the outlet opening (132). In a non-operating state, the valve body (150A) is disposed at a first position which is located away from the outlet opening (132). In an operating state, the plunger (140) is attracted to the core (130) side against the pressing force of the spring (160), positioning the valve body (150A) at a second position at which the valve body (150A) closes the outlet opening (132). When the valve body (150A) is located at the second position, the plunger (140) is not in contact with the core (130).
