The equipment (1) has a sensor (5) measuring level of mediums. An electrical control unit (6) delivers measurement signals and actuates a drain valve (4) and a pump (2) e.g. electromagnetic propelled lifting piston pump and electromagnetic propelled diaphragm pump. A pressure-regulating pump controls pressure in an outlet line (12) by stopping confinement of force in a propelling electromagnet (8) and/or a return spring (7). The electrical control unit opens the drain valve for predetermined time by exceeding a threshold value according to level of the mediums. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an equipment.
