PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device that reduces collision force of a light guide plate to a light source with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device 11 includes a liquid crystal panel 12. The liquid crystal display device 11 includes a backlight 13 irradiating the liquid crystal panel 12 with a planar light. The backlight 13 includes a light source 21 and a light guide plate 22 which has a light-entering surface 22a spaced from and opposing to the light source 21 and converts the light from the light source 21 into a planar state. The liquid crystal display device 11 includes a frame 14 made of a synthetic resin that holds the liquid crystal panel 12 and the backlight 13. The frame 14 integrally includes a spring part 27 that elastically supports the light-entering surface 22a side of the light guide plate 22.
