PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily and quickly sterilizing a preform for making a container such as a bottle without using a sanitizing agent, and to provide a filling method of a beverage and the like.SOLUTION: At least an inner surface, from among an entire surface of a preform 1 including a mouth part 1a, is preheated by blowing sterile hot air H thereon. Superheated steam S made of water and having a pressure higher than the atmospheric pressure at 200°C to 700°C is blown onto at least the inner surface to sterilize the preform. It is preferable to generate the superheated steam by dielectrically heating water.
