PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion-generating element capable of being downsized as compared with conventional ones.SOLUTION: An ion-generating element 100 includes a plurality of components provided on a high-voltage-side circuit board 130, a casing 101 housing the high-voltage-side circuit board 130, and a resin sealing portion 170 resin-sealing a portion of the high-voltage-side circuit board 130 located inside the casing 101 and the plurality of components. The plurality of components include a first diode 151a and a second diode 151b as peripheral components, except for a first discharge electrode 152a, a second discharge electrode 152b, and a step-up transformer. The casing 101 has diode housing holes 122a and 122b for housing ends of the first diode 151a and the second diode 151b at locations corresponding to them. The ends of the first diode 151a and the second diode 151b are covered with the resin sealing portion 170 inside the diode housing holes 122a and 122b. |
