PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce differences of liquid discharge characteristics between nozzles discharging same type of liquid by degradation of a piezoelectric layer.SOLUTION: A nozzle 15a and a nozzle 15b discharging black ink are arranged shifting to a paper feed direction. A nozzle 15c discharging color ink is arranged at a position same as the nozzle 15a in the paper feed direction. A piezoelectric layer extends continually over pressure chambers 10a-10c corresponding to the nozzle 15a-15c. A color image is recorded by transforming a part facing to the pressure chamber 10a of the piezoelectric layer and discharging the black ink from the nozzle 15a, and by transforming a part facing to the pressure chamber 10c of the piezoelectric layer and discharging the color ink from the nozzle 15c. The transformation of the part facing to the pressure chamber 10a is assisted by transforming a part facing to the pressure chamber 10b as far as the black ink is not discharged from the nozzle 15b. |
