PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document carrying device capable of improving convenience in restoration processing when the occurrence of jamming during carrying of a document is determined.SOLUTION: A document carrying device 100 has; a sound signal output portion 141 for outputting a sound signal; a sound jam determining portion 154 for determining whether jamming occurs or not, on the basis of the sound signal; a control portion 151 for stopping the carrying of a document, when the sound jam determining portion determines the occurrence of jamming; a document state detecting portion 145 for detecting a state of the document; and a restoration processing portion 153 for automatically executing restoration processing for restarting the carrying of the document, according to the detection contents of the document state detecting portion, after the control portion stops the carrying of the document. |
