This hybrid vehicle is provided with a capacitor, an internal combustion engine, a generator, an electric motor, and a control device that controls the driving of the vehicle. In accordance with the braking force of the vehicle and the charging rate of the capacitor, the control device determines the form of use of regenerated energy to be: a first form that charges the capacitor with the regenerated energy; a second form that consumes the regenerated energy to drive the generator with the internal combustion engine as the load; and a third form that charges the capacitor with a portion of the regenerated energy and consumes the remainder to drive the generator. |
