The present invention is a filtration device which comprises: a cylindrical filter (F) having a vertical cylindrical shaft; and a casing (C) that surrounds the filter (F). Water to be treated (a) is filtered at the filter (F) from the outer peripheral surface to the inner peripheral surface thereof, and the filtered water (a') is guided out to the exterior of the casing (C). The filter (F) is split into a plurality in the cylindrical axial direction, and the split filters can also be readily repaired or replaced. The split filters can also be linked and integrated to one another with screw connections (36) via reinforcement rods (33), as well as individually taken out. Each of the split filters prevents the leaking out of water to be treated from upper and lower surfaces of the split filters when a sealant (38) is provided to upper and lower opposing surfaces; the sealant rotates but does not slide along with the filter, and therefore there is little degradation and the filter rotational driving force is also smaller. Preferably, a splittable reinforcing body (40) composed of an intermediate support disk (42) and a connecting rod (43) is provided to the interior of the filter.
