The method involves inserting a screw (2) attached with antenna, into mounting opening of vehicle chassis. A sleeve (3) is inserted on screw and the screw is pulled through the sleeve so that the vehicle chassis is clamped between the antenna and sleeve. The sleeve is plastically deformed in the radial direction while material of the sleeve is pushed in the thread of the screw, so that an internal thread is formed in the sleeve and then the end portion of screw is removed from the antenna. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a system for mounting antenna on vehicle chassis; and (2) a vehicle antenna.
