PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article checkout system that makes article checkout efficient even when an electronic tag cannot be attached directly to an article.SOLUTION: When a detection result of a touch sensor 23 changes from a non-holding state to a holding state, purchase information showing that an article displayed in a tray where an antenna is installed is written to purchase article information of an electronic tag 25 of a tong 20 provided with the touch sensor 23. Further, when the detection result of the touch sensor 23 changes from the holding state to the non-holding state, purchase cancel information showing that the article is put back into the tray where the antenna is installed is written to the purchase article information of the electronic tag 25 of the tong 20 provided with the touch sensor 23. |
