PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulation retrofit wall which can be easily constructed and has excellent heat insulation property.SOLUTION: An insulation retrofit wall comprises: an existing wall 11 which has a frame 24 for a window or a door and configures an indoor space; a vacuum insulation material 10 which has a core material made of a fiber body hermetically sealed under reduced pressure inside a jacketing material having gas barrier property and is installed at an indoor side of the existing wall 11; and a puncture prevention plate 13 which covers the indoor side of the vacuum insulation material 10. The vacuum insulation material is protected by a protection effect of the puncture prevention plate 13 which prevents the vacuum insulation material from degradation of heat insulation property thereof due to puncture from the indoor side. Also, the vacuum insulation material can reduce a thickness of an insulation material section because the same has profoundly higher heat insulation property than a general insulating material such as styrene foam. Thus, the insulation retrofit wall is practical with a broad range of application and has an effect on implementation of simple and high performance insulation retrofit without difficulty. |
