FIELD: process engineering.SUBSTANCE: set of invention relates to process machine emergency brakes. Emergency brake system 10 for rotary shaft 16 comprises at least one brake drum 12 and at least one brake shoe 18 to be brought in contact to brake the shaft 16. In compliance with this invention, braking contact between brake drum 12 and brake shoe 18 is brought about by centrifugal force caused by shaft rotation at tripping of interlocking device 26.
