An optical film having excellent transparency and brittleness. The optical film is characterized by containing an acrylic resin (A) and a cellulose ester resin (B) at a mass ratio of from 95:5 to 30:70. The acrylic resin (A) has a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of not less than 110,000 but not more than 1,000,000. The cellulose ester resin (B) has a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of not less than 75,000 but not more than 280,000, a total degree of substitution (T) of acyl groups of not less than 2.0 but not more than 3.0, and a degree of substitution of acyl groups having 3-7 carbon atoms of not less than 1.2 but not more than 3.0. The optical film is also characterized by having the following relations. (1) average haze value = 0.0150 × d (2) maximum haze value = 0.0180 × d (In the relations, d represents the film thickness (µm) of the optical film.) |
