PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel having a vibration actuator whose operation noise is reduced during a moving image-photographing operation, and to provide an imaging apparatus. SOLUTION: The lens barrel (20) includes: a lens (L3) which guides object light; the vibration actuator (10) which generates a driving force with excitation of an electronic machine conversion element (13) and moves the lens (L3) along an optical axis with the driving force; an input means (47) which receives an input of photographing mode information indicating which of a moving image-photographing mode to photograph a moving image or a still image-photographing mode to photograph a still image; and a control means (41) which controls the driving speed of the vibration actuator (10) to reach the set target speed, and also, changes the target speed in accordance with the photographing mode information inputted in the input means (47).
