PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temporary shed for a coke oven, usable for the oven construction of the coke oven. SOLUTION: The temporary shed for the coke oven is used for the coke oven having terminal retaining walls 3 at each of both terminal parts in the longitudinal direction of the coke oven, and a plurality of carbonization chambers between the terminal retaining walls 3, and covers the coke oven body to be subjected to the oven construction such as brick masonry. The retaining walls 3 at both the terminal parts of the coke oven are structurally connected and integrated with flank face frames 11 in the temporary shed. Braces 19 are installed between the flank face frames 11 in portal shapes and intermediate frames 12 in the portal shapes, and between each of the intermediate frames 12 in the roof truss face of the temporary shed for the coke oven, and the braces 19 are arranged over the whole in the ridge direction to connect and reinforce the roof truss face by the braces 19.
