The exterior mirror (10) has mirror surface (28) moved from normal position by a pivoting mechanism to an outer position in which the mirror surface is at a greater distance from the outer boundary of the vehicle chassis than in the normal position. The pivoting mechanism is configured such that the mirror surface is displaced in the outer position with respect to the normal position to the outside and oriented at an angle tilted at the time of motion of motor vehicle. The pivoting mechanism is equipped with a linkage formed in parallelogram shape. |
