A support assembly 10 arranged to be secured using a vehicle comprises: a support base 12 arranged to stand on a floor surface; at least one leg 13 extending upwardly from the base; weight bearing means 22 for bearing part of the weight of the vehicle so as to hold the support assembly in a substantially fixed orientation; and a platform 11 arranged to be supported by the at least one leg for secure attachment of a vice or workbench to the respective leg or legs. The support base may have at least three feet 15a, 15b, 15c preferably extending from a coupling section 14. The weight bearing means may comprise a floor surface engaging wheel plate which is arranged to receive a wheel of the vehicle so that the vehicle can urge the wheel plate and thus the support base upon the floor surface.
