The air conditioner support 1 has a first cross-member 11 extending in a first longitudinal axis H1 and a second cross-member 12 extending in a second longitudinal axis H2 that is collinear or parallel with the first. The cross-members each have respective inner ends 31,32 that are spaced apart from and facing each other. A frame member 13 having an opening 20 is arranged to receive an outlet device (52, figure 6) of an air conditioner (50, figure 6). The frame member lies between the inner ends of the cross-members and is connected thereto by a first connecting member 15 and a second connecting member 16, which are preferably plates having a reinforcing rib. In use, an air duct (55, figure 6) passes between the connecting members and is in fluid communication with the outlet device. The support is suitable as a shock absorbing component of a motor vehicle whereby the central space between the cross-members and connecting members facilitates connection of the air duct to the outlet device of the air conditioner. A climate control system having the support, and a dashboard, are also claimed. |
