PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing agent for a liquid crystal drop-fill process, the agent having excellent moisture resistance, hardly inducing contamination of a liquid crystal even in a high temperature and high humidity environment, and usable for a liquid crystal display element having little color irregularity in liquid crystal display, and to provide a vertical conducting material and a liquid crystal display element using the sealing agent for a liquid crystal drop-fill process. SOLUTION: The sealing agent for a liquid crystal drop-fill process contains a curable resin and a thermosetting agent, wherein the curable resin is a curable resin having an epoxy group and a (meth)acryl group, and/or a mixture of a curable resin having an epoxy group and a curable resin having a (meth)acryl group, the thermosetting agent is a latent thermosetting agent having a melting point of 100°C or higher, and the compounded amount of the thermosetting agent is 0.1 equivalent or more and less than 0.6 equivalent with respect to the equivalent of the epoxy group in the curable resin.
