The present invention relates to: a fume duct sharing apparatus for improving dust collecting efficiency using a fume duct damper selectively dividing or connecting a fume duct to the longitudinal direction of a cokes oven; and a control method of a dust collector for the cokes oven using the same. The fume duct sharing apparatus comprises the following: multiple transfer cars collecting dust and dirty gas; the fume duct connected to the transfer cars to move the transfer cars, for transferring the dust and dirty gas; the fume duct damper installed inside the fume duct for dividing the fume duct into a first region and a second region, and selectively connecting and blocking the first and second regions; two ECSs (emission control system) connected to the first and second regions of the fume duct divided by the fume duct damper, respectively, for processing the dust and dirty gas; and a control unit connected to the transfer cars, the fume duct damper, and the ECSs for controlling the transfer cars, the fume duct damper, and the ECSs.
