<p>The method involves defining a set of kinematic constraints (303), where each set of kinematic constraints defines orientation of axes of elements e.g. tools, involved in machining according to specific kinematic constraints. A workpiece is machined (307) by different sets of kinematic constraints, and the kinematic constraints are stored (309) as machining progresses. A source program is generated (301), and a computer executable program is generated (305) from the source program for machining the workpiece depending on the computer-executable program.
