<p>A case 1 for an article such as an umbrella, comprises an elongate pouch 3 formed of flexible material having a top side 5, a bottom side 7 and opposed lateral sides 9, 11. The pouch has an interior chamber for receiving an article therein. A snap-type clip 13 is arranged at the top of the pouch 3 and is biased so as to be normally-closed. It is opened by user force exerted on opposite ends of the clip 13. There is also a slide fastener 17, such as a zipper, extending along one of the lateral sides. A moisture-absorbent material (19, fig. 3), such as micro-fibre material, may be provided inside the case 1. The micro-fibre material may contain an antibacterial agent. Magnets (21, 23, fig.5) may be provided so that the empty case 1 can be folded compact for storage.</p> |
