摘要 An object of the present invention is to improve the conversion efficiency of a thin film photovoltaic having a structure in which a plurality of unit photovoltaic cells are connected in series by optimizing the placement of collector apertures in each of the unit photovoltaic cells. A thin film photovoltaic 10 includes a plurality of unit photovoltaic cells (UC) each having a photoelectric conversion section 15 stacked on a front side of an insulating substrate 11 and a back electrode layer 18 stacked on a reverse side of the insulating substrate 11, the plurality of unit photovoltaic cells (UC) being connected in series through a plurality of collector apertures 19 and connection apertures 20. The plurality of collector apertures 19 are placed in such a manner that the collector apertures 19 are distributed in an overlap region A in which the photoelectric conversion section 15 and the back electrode layer 18 which form each of the unit photovoltaic cells (UC) are opposed to each other across the insulating substrate 11 while those collector apertures 19 which are placed most closely to each other are equally spaced from each other.
