The device has a base body (1), and an electric machine arranged in the body and comprising a stator assembly (4) connected with the body over an interconnect structure (5). The machine has a rotor that is rotatable around a rotational axis (7) relative to the assembly. The assembly has stator metal sheets (9) that are stacked to one another in the direction of the axis. Intermediate layers (10) are arranged between the metal sheets and formed as components of the structure, where rotational torque exerted on the rotor is introduced into the structure over the intermediate layers. The rotor is designed as an inner rotor or an outer rotor.
