PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device which allows for a smooth performance of sealing work and seal-releasing work for a container, and in addition, which, even when the sealing device is enlarged, does not cause any burr leavings to be left at a shaft part, that is, to provide a sealing device of good workability. SOLUTION: The sealing device 1 has a plate-like head portion 2 and an insertion portion 3 that projects downward from the head portion 2, while the insertion portion 3 has a shaft portion 11 connected with the head portion 2 via a connection portion 5 and arrowhead portions 8 that protrude upward from the lower end part of the shaft portion 11 and having a repulsive force. The head portion 2 has a plate-like indication portion 6, a frame portion 4 having a space in its central part, and a plurality of connection portions 5 extended from the frame portion 4 toward its center, while the shaft portion 11 of the insertion portion 3 is made the center of the frame portion 4 and connected to a plurality of connection portions 5 for formation, whereas, in a plane view, all the connection portions 5 except a first connection portion 7 that is located nearest to the axis CL of the indication portion 6 are formed thin-walled in taper as they are extended from the frame portion 4 toward the shaft portion 11.
