<p>An image heating apparatus includes: an exciting coil (3); a current applying device (60) configured to apply a high-frequency current to the exciting coil; a rotatable heating member (1) configured to heat a toner image on a recording material at a nip (N), wherein the rotatable heating member includes a first electroconductive layer for generating heat by electromagnetic induction of magnetic flux from the exciting coil; a rotatable pressing member (2) configured to press-contact the rotatable heating member to form the nip, wherein the rotatable pressing member includes a second electroconductive layer (2c) electrically insulated from the first electroconductive layer; and a rectifying element (28) configured to be connected between the second electroconductive layer and the ground in a direction in which a surface potential of the rotatable pressing member has an opposite polarity to a normal charge polarity of a toner.</p> |
