The device has locking pins (6) mounted in locking pin bores (5) provided in a key channel (4) of a cylinder core (3) of a dual-locking cylinder. A wall of a coding slot e.g. brush sided slot, of a key (2) e.g. flat key, forms a sliding flank. Another sliding flank is formed adjacent to the former flank in a transition region and steeply runs opposite to the former flank relative to key extension direction. Dimensions of a conical surface of a head (7) adjacent to dome of the pins and the former flank are preset such that the region is covered by the conical surface in a rest position.
