1,033,963. Friction clutches. JURIDWERKE G.m.b.H. Feb. 6, 1963 [April 6, 1962], No. 4789/63. Heading F2C. Friction blocks 1 mounted back-to-back on a clutch plate 5 are formed with abutting bosses 1a on their rear faces so proportioned that when secured on the plate by a rivet 6, air gaps remain between the parts, thus reducing the flow of heat from the blocks to the plate. The friction blocks 1 may move axially slightly relatively to the plate 5. Pegs at the back of the blocks enter a hole 8 in the clutch plate 5, to prevent the blocks from turning about the axis of the rivet 6. The friction blocks 1 can be made from sintered inorganic material or from organic material. |
