The invention relates to an LED lighting device and an LED illuminator. The LED lighting device (1) comprises a DC power supply circuit (2) formed to output constant voltage to the two ends of a capacitor (C3) for smooth use; a light emitting diode (3) connected on the two ends of the capacitor (C3) for smooth use; a current detecting circuit (4) for detecting the current flowing through the light emitting diode (3); and a bypass circuit (5) comprising a second resistor (R2) connected on the two ends of the capacitor (C3) for smooth use and a series circuit of a switching element (Trl) and used for controlling the switching element (Trl) to be turned on when the current is detected by the current detecting circuit (4) to be more than a prescribed value. |
