PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image communication apparatus, an image communication method, a program, and an image communication system for supporting remote communication while protecting privacy. SOLUTION: The image communication apparatus comprises a controller which in the case of acquiring a first taken image from a first imaging apparatus and transmitting the first taken image toward a second display device, transmits user information of the second display device toward a first display device on the side of the first imaging device.
