<p>The platform has a data storage storing coordinates of manufacturer-side prescribed support positions as reference positions in connection with an associated vehicle type. Coordinates of actual positions of a front carrying plate (11a) and rear carrying plates (21a, 22a) are determined by measurement and computation. A computer balances between reference coordinates and actual coordinates. A lifting process of a front carrying arm (11) and rear carrying arms (21, 22) is released only when differences between the reference coordinates and the actual coordinates lie within a preset tolerance. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a lifting platform for a vehicle.</p> |
