EDGER ROLL AND ROLLING METHOD OF STEEL PLATE USING THE SAME

The present invention relates to an edger roll and a rolling method for thick metal plates using an edger roll which reduces asymmetric scratches on a surface caused by the differences between the widths and the temperatures of the upper and lower sides of a slab. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the edger roll is used to manufacture a thick metal plate by widthwise rolling of a slab. The slanted edges of a side surface of the outer circumference form an inclined angle as the diameter gradually gets smaller in the top-down direction to reduce asymmetric strains of the upper and lower sides of the slab.
