The present invention relates to artificial feed for Papilio xuthus and a method for manufacturing the same. The artificial feed for Papilio xuthus in the present invention contains 5-8 wt% of trifoliate orange powder, 11-14 wt% of wheat germ, 6-8 wt% of high nitrogen casein, 1-2 wt% of a wesson salt mixture, 2-4 wt% of agar, and 68-72 wt% of distilled water. The artificial feed for Papilio xuthus according to the present invention promotes the growth of the larva of Papilio xuthus so that a superior entity of merchantable quality is obtained. Also, Papilio xuthus raised using the artificial feed shows higher survival rate compare to Papilio xuthus growing naturally. And the artificial feed can be used to proliferate Papilio xuthus in quantity, especially, during a period that is hard to get food like winter.
