Disclosed are a wind power generator, and a method for operating the wind power generator. The wind power generator, according to an embodiment of the present invention, is capable of generating electricity by delivering the rotation energy of a rotating hub supported by a tower to a power generator via a main shaft. The wind power generator includes: a first frame installed on the top of the tower; a second frame which is supported by the first frame and supports the main shaft; and an angle adjusting unit which is inserted in between the first and the second frame to adjust the tilting angle of the main shaft.
