The present invention provides a smart rear-view system including a camera unit which is mounted in a vehicle body and obtains image information; a lane detection unit which receives the image information from the camera unit to detect a lane and determines whether a vehicle deviates from the lane; and an electronic control unit which receives a deviation signal from the lane detection unit when the vehicle deviates from the lane, generates the image of a rear blind spot area of the lane where the vehicle enters from the image information, and displays the generated image on an image display unit. The smart rear-view system enables a driver to safely change a lane by displaying the image of a rear blind spot area of the lane where the vehicle enters when the driver changes a lane.
