An image processing device, which processes an image outputted from an imaging device arranging a microlens array to obtain the image including ray direction information on a subject imaged by an imaging optical system, has a refocus processing unit executing a refocus treatment on the obtained image based on the ray direction information and generating a reconstitution image and a defect pixel detecting unit detecting a defect pixel from the obtained image. When the image is obtained, the defect pixel of the obtained image is detected. When the refocus treatment is instructed, the refocus treatment is executed on the image in which the defect pixel is detected.
