<p>A candle (12) comprises a wall (14) formed of a combustible fuel, said wall (14) having a top end 14a and a bottom end 14b and sides (14c) extending therebetween; and a wick 18 embedded in the wall in one of a coiled, helical or spiral configuration. Preferably the candle (12) further comprises a cavity 16 defined in the wall, wherein the wick 18 is positioned so as to encircle the cavity. Also claimed is a packaging assembly (110) for a product (122) comprises a candle (112) having a wall (114) of a combustible fuel; a wick (118) embedded in the wall having a first end extending for a distance outwardly therefrom; and a cavity (116) defined in the wall which is adapted to receive at least a portion of the product therein. The invention provides an environmentally friendly packaging assembly wherein the assembly may be used as a conventional candle and burnt after the product has been removed from the cavity to leave no packaging waste for disposal.</p> |
