The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for applying a harmonic current to a load that includes deciding the standard value of a current harmonic component which is to be applied to the load, generating a load application standard current by combining a current basic wave component with the standard value of the determined current harmonic waver component, and allowing an inverter to receive the load application standard current and to apply an output current according to the load application standard current through a switching operation to the load. |
