A method of automatically creating a digital map of an animal barn (1), the barn comprising a plurality of types of barn elements (4,5,6,7,8,17,18,20,22), a plurality of animals, and an animal locating system (3), the method comprising the steps of•automatically collecting position data with the animal locating system about the position of said at least one animal in said barn as a function of time•providing, for at least a plurality of types of barn elements, a first set of criteria for correlating said position data to said type of barn element and a second set of criteria for determining the position of said type of barn element•automatically applying the sets of criteria to the position data,•automatically creating the map with at least said first barn element and the type and position thereof. Also a system and computer program and computer readable medium for performing the method. |
