PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accomplish both the acceleration of image processing and the suppression of power consumption.SOLUTION: A composite machine has a reading part 30, a reading part 60, a CPU 20, an image processing part 23, a voltage supply part 22 for supplying operation voltage of a first voltage value to the image processing part 23, and a clock signal supply part 25 for supplying a clock signal of a first drive frequency. The CPU 20 executes software compression processing to an image read by the reading part 30 arranged at an upstream side. The image processing part 23 executes hardware compression processing to an image read by the reading part 60 arranged at a downstream side. The CPU 20 instructs the voltage supply part 22 to supply operation voltage of a second voltage value lower than the first voltage value, and instructs the clock signal supply part 25 to supply a clock signal of a second operation frequency which is lower than the first operation frequency, corresponds to the second voltage value, and further accomplishes software compression processing in accordance with the software compression processing. |
