PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for molding a novel three-dimensional object not requiring a large three-dimensional mold frame even when a large three-dimensional object is manufactured, and an apparatus for the same.SOLUTION: The method and apparatus of the present invention for molding a three-dimensional object are provided to mold, by contacting, under pressure, a planar sheet with a three-dimensional mold frame having a specified shape, the sheet into a three-dimensional object having the specified shape. The sheet has been compartmentalized into multiple molding zones, whereas a given molding zone thereof is contacted, under pressure, with a three-dimensional mold frame having a specified shape required for the molding zone so as to form the molding zone in a three-dimensional shape conforming to the three-dimensional mold frame. This step is repeated for every other molding zone so as to mold the entire sheet as a three-dimensional object having the specified shape in a state where the respective three-dimensional shapes of adjacent molding zones are mutually continuous. In the present invention, an entire sheet is not molded into a molding having a specified shape all at once, but molding zones compartmentalized as small zones are formed as small three-dimensional shapes, and since the entire sheet is molded into the three-dimensional object having the specified shape in a state where the small three-dimensional shapes are continuous, it suffices to prepare small three-dimensional mold frames, and the cost can be reduced in comparison with a case where a single large three-dimensional mold frame is prepared. |
