PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedestrian notification device capable of: notifying a pedestrian who is recognized by a vehicle, of the fact that the vehicle has recognized the pedestrian; or guiding the pedestrian.SOLUTION: A pedestrian notification device 1 includes an information acquisition unit 10, a notification system ECU 11, and a notification function activation unit 12. The notification system ECU 11 includes an arithmetic unit 110, a pedestrian presence/absence determination unit 111, and a notification function control unit 112. If the pedestrian presence/absence determination unit 111 determines based on detection information of the information acquisition unit 10 that a pedestrian exists, the arithmetic unit 110 calculates a distance D to the pedestrian and a direction &thetas; of the pedestrian. An irradiation target distance d and a radius r of marking light are calculated using the result of the calculation. Based on the result of the calculation, a DMD (Digital Micromirror Device) 120 of the notification function activation unit 12 irradiates the marking light. The pedestrian notification device of the present invention can detect the pedestrian in the vicinity of own vehicle and notify the pedestrian through irradiation of the marking light of the fact that the own vehicle has recognized the pedestrian. |
