PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a canopy open/close device that can secure a large opening area of an upper side opening of a packing box and suppress breakage of a spring for generating assist force for canopy handling.SOLUTION: A canopy open/close device comprises: a pair of left and right canopies 5L and 5R covering an upper side opening 1a opening above a packaging box 1 to be freely openable and closable; and a plurality of open/close arms 6 that are rotatably supported in torque shafts 15, base end portions of which are provided respectively on the left and right of the upper side opening portion 1a and apical ends of which are turnably connected to the left and right outside end portions of the canopies 5L and 5R. The left and right torque shafts 15 extend in the longitudinal direction along the left and right sidewalls 1L and 1R of the packaging box 1. Inside the left and right torque shafts 15 are housed torsion bar springs 20 generating bias force in a direction of closing the canopies 5L and 5R. |
