PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new electrostatic speaker that dispenses with a high-voltage application device by having self-charging characteristics brought about by friction between a vibrating membrane and a buffer member.SOLUTION: An electrostatic speaker includes: a vibrating membrane that is made of a thin film-like member; a conductive plane electrode with acoustic transmission, which is arranged in the state of facing the vibrating membrane; and a buffer member that is arranged between the vibrating membrane and the plane electrode and formed of a material having a cationic functional group introduced into its surface. |
