The present invention relates to a method for inducing tumor-specific antibody mediated complement-dependent cytotoxic response in an animal having a tumor, and a composition used for the method. The method includes an administration of the composition comprising a replication competent oncolytic virus to the animal, wherein the administration of the composition induces, in the animal, production of antibodies that mediate a CDC response specific to the tumor.
