PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte for a lithium ion secondary battery which can obtain sufficient initial discharge capacity, and furthermore which has excellent cycle characteristics even at a low temperature, and also to provide the lithium ion secondary battery.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte for a lithium ion secondary battery contains a nonaqueous solvent, an electrolyte, 0.01 to 2 mass% of cyclic carbonate ester having an unsaturated bond and 0.001 to 1 mass% of chain ether having tertiary carbon. |
