PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable only any one of one 3-phase servomotor and one 2-phase step motor to be driven, by switching one motor driver part between the preliminarily-set controls.SOLUTION: In a composite motor driver and a method of driving the same, the composite motor driver (30) is configured of four half-bridge circuits (11 to 14), current detection means (15 to 18), gate drive circuits (20 to 23), and a controller (1). The control of a motor driver part (2) is changed on the basis of phase currents (IFB-U to IFB-X) from the current detection means (15 to 18) to drive any one of a 3-phase servomotor (6) and a 2-phase step motor (8). |
