PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector terminal containing aluminium or aluminium alloy as a base material, a nickel layer and a tin layer on the nickel layer, easy to be worked and excellent in workability due to suppression of damage on the nickel layer and the base material at working, and to provide a material for manufacturing such a connector terminal.SOLUTION: A connector terminal is formed by using a material for the connector terminal formed a nickel layer having a thickness of less than 0.5 μm by coating a surface of a base material containing aluminium or aluminium alloy and a tin layer by coating the surface of the nickel layer.
