PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that a conventional method of removing a rubber coating from a wire rope using an electric saw is troublesome and needs hard labor.SOLUTION: A rope coating removal device 10 of the present invention includes: a trestle 11; an angular peeling guide plate 14 having guide surfaces 14R, 14L forming a boundary in a crown edge part 14a, and formed of the crown edge part 14a standing up from the trestle 11 vertically; a sleeve 15 having an inlet end 15a with a wire rope 2 inserted therethrough and an outlet end 15b, and formed of an annular cutter part 15c corresponding to an outer diameter of the wire rope 2 at the inlet end 15a; cut cutters 16T, 16B extending along the crown edge part 14a of the peeling guide plate 14 while sandwiching the sleeve 15 in between, and incising a cut 3a to a rubber coating part 3; a winch 17 arranged at the side of the outlet end 15b of the sleeve 15 and for winding the wire rope 2; and guide rollers R, 18L positioned between the winch 17 and the peeling guide plate 14, and clamping the wire rope 2. |
